What to Expect
The safety of our cast, crew, and guests is of the utmost importance to us. That’s why we’ve made extensive changes throughout the dam to keep you safe. You can do your part by following our procedures and taking our suggestions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you have any questions about what we’re doing to fight COVID-19, contact us via live chat and we’ll assist you.
No one can guarantee that you won’t contract COVID-19 by going out and attending events, but if we all work together and follow the below rules, we can vastly reduce the spread of COVID-19 and have a safe and fun Halloween.

What We’re Doing
Socially Distanced Queue
Our queue is designed to be short, with all guests selecting an arrival time and lining up with only those guests that are in the same general time slot. Our queue is properly social distanced, so respect the markers and keep at least 2 meters between you and the group in front of you.
Guest Limits and Distancing
You can book for as many guests as you’d like to bring, but there is a catch. Only 6 guests may stand together in the queue, with the rest of your group in the next socially distanced position. To keep the maze scary and safe, everyone on your reservation will be admitted together without guests from any other group. However, you enter the Maze with up to 4 guests at a time. This promotes social distancing and ensures that we’ll scare the pants off you! Don’t worry, your friends are right behind you (at leaast, you hope it’s your friends!).
Our Monsters Wear PPE
We care about keeping you safe, and though it may not be apparent, all of our monsters wear PPE under their costume or latex masks. We won’t touch you and will keep our distance — you should too if you know what’s good for you 🙂
Enhanced Cleaning Procedures
We’ve enhanced our cleaning procedures everywhere, including disinfecting the attraction throughout the operations during the day and a super deep-clean at the end of every night. We also continuously clean our concession and bar areas and disinfect tables after each use at our Zombie Cafe & Bar.
Extensive Employee Training
We’re providing extra training to our Cast and Crew members, including training on social distancing, sanitizing, and our new COVID-19 operating procedures, which we take very seriously. Our management team will be on-site at everyday coaching and encouraging strict adherence to these new practices.
Limiting the Acceptance of Cash
Cash can be dirty, and though there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread using cash, we’re not taking any chances. We’re asking for everyone to tap their card where you can to limit interaction, giving change, etc. Cash can be accepted on a limited exception basis, if necessary.
Hand Sanitizer Throughout the Event (and it’s required)
There is hand sanitizer at our outdoor Zombie Cafe & Bar. You will also be required to use hand sanitizer before entering the Maze.
Requiring Masks to Be Worn
To keep everyone safe, we’re requiring that everyone wear masks inside the queue line and our maze. Be respectful of your fellow scare enthusiasts. Remember, your mask protects other people from you in the unlikely event you’ve contracted COVID-19 and don’t yet present with symptoms. Be a good Canadian, just wear your mask.
Our Drink and Food Menus Are Digital
Our full food and drink menu is available online, so there’s. no need to have paper menus, etc.
Advance Ticket and Queue Time Selection
In order to be granted access to our Maze, you need to select an entry time. This keeps our lines short and promotes social distancing. We have very limited tickets available for each time-slot, so purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointments. Walk-ups will be refused if the time-slot you’re attending is sold out.
Contactless Mobile Check-In
When you arrive, please have your tickets available on your phone or have them pre-printed. We will wirelessly scan your ticket for no-contact entry to our Maze.
Symptom Free Policy
During check-in, we’ll ask you if you’re feeling well and if you’ve traveled outside Canada in the past 14 days. Guests who present with COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted in the restaurant. We’ll be happy to rebook you without charge for another scheduled performance or provide you with a gift card you can use for any future performance.
What you can do to help!
There’s lots you can do to help us keep everyone who comes to Vancouver Horror Nights safe. By now, most of these policies should be well-known to you as most restaurants are implementing similar procedures. That said, the Vancouver Horror Nights has some unique policies that we ask you review before bringing your friends to our haunted attraction.
Please Don’t Touch Our Staff
We know you love us; we love you too! We also know it’s easy to get scared and have a reaction. For everyone’s safety, please don’t have physical contact with our staff and don’t touch any props within the house.
Remember Your Social Distancing
Keep at least a 2-meter distance even when you’re not in our queue. It just makes good sense.
Wash Your Hands Frequently
Prevent the spread by washing your hands frequently, especially after using the restroom. Remember, you should wash your hands for at least 30 seconds, which is about the time it takes to sing “Happy Birthday.”

Stay Home If You’re Feeling Unwell
If you find that you’re not feeling well the day of the performance, we ask that you please stay home and get well. We’re open until November 2, 2020, so you have lots of time to come back when you’re feeling better. You can never be too careful.
